The Architects Company
Case Study

My client

The Architects’ Company is a modern livery company that celebrates the global architectural profession and promotes quality architecture in the City of London through education, mentoring, awards and philanthropy.

The brief

Due to workload the Clerk required assistance with producing minutes of quarterly Court and Committee meetings, held in London.

The solution

The meetings were hybrid, being held both in person and on Zoom, which enabled the conversations to be recorded. I summarised the key points of the discussions by condensing sometimes long conversations to ensure the flavour of the topic was noted without the need for the full verbatim wording and any unnecessary information. Items agreed and voted upon were captured, together with agreed actions. A level of confidentiality was required and knowledge of when items should not be officially minuted.

I produced a concise and accurate record of the meeting outcomes that can be referred to in future meetings and for those unable to attend. This saved my client time in producing the minutes themselves hence increasing efficiency, and also allowed her to more fully participate in the meeting herself.
